Gin has always held a special place in the hearts of the Royal Family. Among the late Queen's cherished cocktail choices was a delightful blend of Dubonnet and gin. Typically served with a ratio of two parts Dubonnet to one part gin, accompanied by a refreshing slice of lemon and an abundance of ice, this cocktail epitomizes her refined taste.
Ingredients:
- 20ml fresh lime juice
- 15ml brown sugar syrup
Method:
To make the brown sugar syrup, put equal parts brown sugar and water in a saucepan and gently heat until the sugar has dissolved. Store in a jar in the fridge until needed.
When you’re ready to make the cocktail, shake all ingredients together in a shaker with ice. Strain into a glass, preferably a coupe, and garnish with a twist of lime.
