The Uncompromising Brewery
Norwegian brewery Nøgne Ø is committed to taste, committed to craft beer.
The name means ‘naked island’, a poetic term used by Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen to describe any of the countless stark, barren outcroppings that are visible in the rough sea off Norway’s southern coast.
Norwegian home brewers Gunnar Wiig and Kjetil Jikiun founded their brewery in 2002, with a vision to bring diversity and innovation into commercial brewing of real ale.
Svart is the non alcoholic gem in their range of more than 20 different styles of ale. No alcohol and no compromise on the Nøgne commitment to quality.
