Old Speckled Hen Low Alcohol faithfully delivers the rich, smooth and distinctive flavours of the original full strength Morland brew.
Pale and crystal malts alongside Challenger, First Gold and Goldings hops, allow the unique toffee malt character to shine through.
Malty toffee and caramel notes. Great for easy drinking, and to accompany a roast, sausages or pie.
Truth behind name
‘Old Speckled Hen’ beer takes its name from a car, not a bird. It was first brewed by Morland in 1979 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the MG car factory in Abingdon, Oxfordshire and was named after a much-loved, paint-spattered MG factory runabout known as the ‘Owld Speckl’d Un’!
