About Darling Cellars
Darling Cellars, also known as DC, is a renowned South African winery situated in the Darling wine region, on the country's cool west coast. Known for producing high-quality wines with distinctive character and a strong sense of terroir, DC is committed to preserving the region's rich biodiversity and sustainable winegrowing practices.
Established in 1948, Darling Cellars has evolved over the years, embracing modern winemaking techniques while maintaining its respect for the land and traditional practices. The region's unique growing conditions, with its cool maritime climate and diverse soil types, give the wines their signature flavour profiles and exceptional quality.
The vineyards of Darling Cellars are predominantly grown as bush vines, rather than on trellises, which allows for better sun exposure and promotes even ripening of the grapes. The long growing season of the region contributes to the development of intense flavours and complex aromas in the wines.
DC offers a wide range of wines, including reds, whites, and rosés, all crafted with precision and passion. Their wines are known for their easy-drinking style, making them accessible and enjoyable for wine enthusiasts of all levels.
