WHAT IS KOMBUCHA?

Kombucha is a fermented drink made from sweetened tea and a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast (SCOBY). The fermentation process transforms the sweet tea into a tangy and slightly effervescent drink with a unique range of flavours. Kombucha is known for its potential health benefits and has gained popularity as a probiotic-rich beverage.

IS KOMBUCHA ALCOHOLIC?

As a result of the fermentation process of Kombucha, it can contain trace amounts of alcohol. The alcohol content in kombucha is typically quite low, usually below 0.5% alcohol by volume (ABV). As it is less than 1.2% ABV however, it is technically still classed as a non-alcoholic drink. If you have concerns about the alcohol content in kombucha or its potential effects, it's a good idea to check the labeling on the product to see if the alcohol content is indicated.
