Why We Love It

Jump Ship didn't launch Flying Colors right away after the popularity of its first non-alcoholic beer, and it shows. It resembles a traditional British ale and has a comforting blend of malt and fruit flavours. A beautiful beer. Also extremely low in sugar.

Understanding Gluten Free

Gluten, a protein complex predominantly found in grains such as wheat, barley, rye, and oats, is a common constituent in various beverages, including beer and some wines. However, gluten-free drinks steer clear of these ingredients. For a drink to earn the 'gluten-free' label, it must contain less than 20 parts per million of gluten, which is practically a smidgen!
On a more serious note, the legal definition of 'gluten-free' in the UK, as outlined by the European Commission Regulation (EC) No. 41/2009, stipulates that foodstuffs must contain no more than 20 mg/kg (ppm) of gluten to qualify for the label. This regulation ensures that products marketed as 'gluten-free' are safe for those with coeliac disease and gluten intolerance to consume.

Vegan Friendly

This drink contains no animal products or by-products whatsoever. Furthermore, the bottle, label, and adhesive used are completely free from any animal-derived ingredients.

About the Brand

Sonja brewed this beer from her own recipe. A keen sailor, beer-lover and mother of three, she decided to ‘jump ship’ from her marketing job to launch Jump/Ship Brewing.
A love of beer but a horror of hangovers was behind the idea for Jump/Ship, in December 2018. As Sonja says, 'I love beer. I love sailing. I don’t like hangovers.'
Keen to enable more people to enjoy great beer without the booze, Sonja set out to discover if she could produce a world-class alcohol-free beer in Scotland.

How To Serve
