Makemake x We Can Be Friends High Five And Fly is a juicy alcohol free hazy IPA brewed in collaboration with We Can Be Friends. It brings a soft, pillowy body, plenty of hop character and a bright mix of citrus and stone fruit flavours, all without the full strength alcohol.
This is a proper modern IPA for anyone who wants flavour, body and haze in an alcohol free beer. It feels full, fresh and satisfying, making it a strong choice for pizza nights, burgers, spicy food, BBQs or a bigger craft beer moment when you are keeping things low alcohol.
Tasting Notes
Pours: Hazy golden with a soft pale head and a full craft IPA look.
Aroma: Citrus, stone fruit, soft tropical fruit and fresh hop character.
Palate: Juicy and smooth, with citrus brightness, ripe stone fruit and a soft pillowy body. The grain bill gives it a fuller mouthfeel, while the hop character keeps it fresh, lively and properly IPA shaped.
Finish: Clean, juicy and lightly bitter, with lingering citrus and soft stone fruit.
Food Pairings
Pair with a spicy pepperoni pizza, melted mozzarella and a crisp base. The citrus and stone fruit notes cut through the cheese, while the light bitterness works well with tomato and chilli heat.
It also suits smash burgers, fried chicken, grilled halloumi, fish tacos, loaded fries, veggie kebabs or nachos with jalapeños and sour cream. The soft hazy body gives enough weight for richer food, while the citrus keeps everything fresh.
