Dark and full bodied with plenty of roasted character, this porter leans into coffee, cocoa and soft nutty notes rather than sharp bitterness. Expect dark chocolate, smooth mocha richness, hints of roasted hazelnut and caramel, plus a rounded finish that keeps it satisfying without becoming cloying. It lands firmly in the rich and luxurious camp, with more of a dessert stout feel than a dry old school porter.

A very easy match for brownies, chocolate tart and coffee cake. It should also work nicely with vanilla desserts, roasted nuts or strong hard cheeses if you want to lean into the darker, richer side of the beer. These pairings are an informed inference from the beer’s coffee, dark chocolate, hazelnut and caramel notes rather than a stated brewery pairing list.

Serve cool rather than ice cold so the coffee and chocolate notes can come through properly. Pour into a glass if you want the aroma to open up a bit more, especially if you are drinking it after dinner or alongside something sweet. This is the sort of alcohol free dark beer that suits slower sipping more than necking straight from the can. That last point is an inference from the beer’s rich flavour profile.
