About Rothaus
Founded in 1791, nestled in the heart of the Black Forest in Germany, Rothaus Brewery has been brewing exceptional beers for over two centuries. With a rich history steeped in tradition, the brewery was initially established by the abbot of St. Blasien Monastery as a way to provide employment and generate income for the region.
As the years passed, Rothaus Brewery grew in size and reputation, eventually becoming a state-owned brewery following the dissolution of the monastery. Despite the changes in ownership, the brewery remained committed to its core values of quality, craftsmanship, and pride in its regional heritage.
Rothaus Brewery's unwavering dedication to its craft can be seen in their continued use of traditional brewing methods and the finest local ingredients. They source their water from the pristine springs of the Black Forest, and carefully select high-quality hops and barley to produce their range of distinct and flavoursome beers.
Today, Rothaus Brewery is synonymous with the art of German brewing, and their beers have become a beloved staple both within Germany and internationally. Their commitment to quality, tradition, and the enduring beauty of the Black Forest continues to inspire beer lovers around the world, making Rothaus a true testament to the enduring appeal of fine German beer.
