We Can Be Friends Voodoo is a bold alcohol free IPA with a bright citrus bite and proper modern hop character. Brewed with fresh crop Motueka, it brings sharp lime, bitter candied orange and juicy tropical fruit over a soft, full bodied base. It is punchy, fresh and satisfying, giving you that proper craft IPA feel without the full strength alcohol.
This is one for drinkers who want an alcohol free beer with flavour, aroma and a bit of attitude. It has enough hop brightness for IPA fans, but the smooth body keeps it easy to enjoy with food, match nights, BBQs or a fridge raid after work.
Tasting Notes
Pours: Hazy golden with a soft pale head and a full IPA look.
Aroma: Fresh lime, bitter orange peel, tropical fruit and bright Motueka hop notes.
Palate: Sharp lime comes through first, followed by candied orange bitterness, juicy tropical fruit and a smooth malt base. The body is fluffy and satisfying for an alcohol free IPA, with enough bitterness to keep the fruit crisp rather than sweet.
Finish: Clean, citrusy and lightly bitter, with lingering lime and orange peel.
Food Pairings
Pair with fish tacos loaded with lime, coriander, chilli and crunchy slaw. The Motueka lime character works beautifully with citrus, spice and fresh herbs.
It also works well with smash burgers, grilled halloumi, loaded veggie burgers, pepperoni pizza, roasted vegetable flatbread with chilli oil, BBQ chicken or smoky cauliflower bites. The citrus bitterness cuts through cheese, spice and grilled flavours nicely.
For snacks, serve with salted pretzels, crisps, roasted nuts, nachos, dips and savoury sharing plates. The lime and orange peel notes give salty food a fresh lift.
Serving Suggestions
