Best of British: up north
Some of the British brewers are dedicated to alcohol free brewing, while others have added alcohol free to their range.
What can you expect from the North of England? Beers by Sam Smith’s, Ilkely Brewery, Thornbridge Brewery, First Chop Brewing and Northern Monk to name some.
And Scotland offers Brewdog (of Barnard Castle Eye Test fame), Harviestoun Brewery (velvety dark ale Wheesht) and Jump/Ship (crisp lager).
Best of British: in the middle
The brilliant Drop Bear Beers from the middle of Wales.
Best of British: down south
London brings us Hammerton, Beavertown, Nirvana and Infinite Sessions, and more. Suffolk stands out as a brewing stronghold; look out for Big Drop Brewing, St Peter’s Brewery, Nethergate and Adnams.
Meanwhile, you’ve got Sharp’s Brewery down in the south west, with the dangerously good Doom Bar Zero.
